Sparks and steam will fly as the imagination of designers and
spectators combust. Hand pick desirable recycled materials
from
a junk pile and sit back as funky fringe furniture artists
transform your chosen goods into a sculptured piece of furniture.
Fringe
furniture designers are at your service to create a masterpiece
from discarded, unwanted materials in need of love and affection.
You won’t want to put your old couch on the nature strip
after you’ve witnessed the re-creation from junk into
fashionable furniture sculpture.
Select fresh food from a Mongolian chef and watch as your
sizzling meal is cooked on a Mongolian BBQ within seconds.
Fuel up at the open-air bar and be immersed in a frenzy of
anarchic creativity. Sparks will fly as grinders and welders
make sweet music. Purchase your own furniture sculpture as
a souvenir of the spectacle. Auctions will be held each day.
Spontaneous Construction will be located on the forecourt
to the Melbourne Museum, come rain, hail or shine.
