When is the Melbourne Fringe Festival on?
In 2012, the Festival takes place from Wednesday, 26 September to Sunday, 14 October.
How do I buy tickets?
From late August you can buy tickets either online, or by calling (03) 9660 9666, or by visiting our Information and Ticketing Centre. Or at a Fringe Hub Box Office. Or by using your mobile device, or...
Are there any free events?
Yes! There are always a number of quality free events in the Festival program. Up to a third of our programmed events are free.
I'm an Artist, how can I get involved?
In a nutshell, anyone can be in the Melbourne Fringe Festival - the Festival is an open access festival. To find out everything you need to do to be involved, check out the For Artists sections of this website. Registrations for each year's Festival open in May.
When does Melbourne Fringe recruit staff?
Each year, Melbourne Fringe offers a range of highly sought-after roles in the independent arts, as well as structured learning opportunities in the form of internships (unpaid). The majority of our recruitment occurs from June onwards, in preparation for the Festival in September. Opportunities appear on this website in our Jobs section and we also advertise on Arts Hub. Does Melbourne Fringe need volunteers?
Yes! There are many volunteering opportunities with Melbourne Fringe, however most of these occur in the lead-up to and during the Festival (advertised from August). To find out more about volunteering for us, check out the Volunteers section of this website.
