In its ninth year, the 15/15 International Film Festival will launch in partnership with the Melbourne Fringe Festival. The 15/15 International Film Festival opens on 2 October 2009 at the Capitol Theatre in Melbourne, before touring regional Victoria. The 15/15 International Film Festival showcases amazing short films produced around the world as part of this global filmmaking event. Participants in the festival were challenged to make a short film of no longer than 15 minutes within 15 hours on 18 July 2009, inspired by an object and quote revealed on the filming day. The Gala Night will feature all films nominated for awards, with $1000 prize money going to the winner of Best Film.
