Much has been made of the best Australian albums and songs of all time lately, with the best of these 'best of' lists sparking debate and creating swirls of controversy. Given the sheer depth of extraordinary music this country’s artists have produced over the years, it’s inevitable that certain classics are left off most hot lists.

But what of these prototypal classics, the b-sides, the tracks that should have made it on to any of these so called ‘best of’ lists?

This year, Melbourne Fringe aims to bring you these forgotten gems. The songs which, for reasons of rarity, relegation or simple good/bad fortune, now sit in the dusty far reaches of our collective music libraries. Jewels & Bullets is an ode to these forgotten Australian classic songs, as covered by a house band accompanied by a host of revolving vocalists and guest musicians across two Thursday nights in the Fringe Festival Club.

Thursday October 6 featuring guests:

Paulie Stewart (Painters & Dockers, The Dili Allstars)

Charles Jenkins (Icecream Hands, The Zivagoes)

Angie Hart

Molly Jean Morrison (The Level Spirits)

James O'Brien (The Boat People)
