You’re gay, you’re brown, you’re in the closet, you’re from South Auckland and you’re standing in a church rally against homosexuality. You are a Black Faggot!

A parade of characters collide in a series of hilarious and poignant monologues set in New Zealand’s migrant Pacific Islands communities: the undercover brother desperate to prove he’s straight; a butch Samoan homo who’s out, proud and not afraid to say so; an island mama whose beloved son turns out to be queer.

Black Faggot was the SRO hit of Auckland Fringe and winner of the Tiki Tour Ready Award, which brings the show to Melbourne for its Australian debut.

Prepare to laugh, cry and believe in the power of love.
