After the smashing success of Sista She and The House of The Holy Bootay in 2007, Candy Bowers is back at the Arts Centre and this time she's flying solo. Who's that Chik? is the true story of Candy B, born to South African parents in Nth Dandenong. A performer since debuting as the Brown Dwarf (Snow White) and the Brown Duck (Mother Goose) at the Sena Bird Dance Academy, Candy ended up at NIDA before discovering she was one hell of a Lady MC and has been rapping ever since. Who's that Chik? is funny, personal and political with plenty of sass and a pinch of Lionel Richie to boot. Told in the style of hip hop theatre, the piece is a mix of rap tracks, jazz ballet and video all served up with Candy B's razor-sharp trademark hip hop comedy.
