Does space ever end? How does the internet work? Why do people get plastic surgery? Why don't you love me? Where are my keys?
Cut Snake is an immersive, high-energy Lynchesque, dance-musical dramatic happening about big questions and small moments. Swinging out from the steps of the North Melbourne Town Hall into locations secretive and odd are Kiki, Bob and Jumper - best friends with big plans, till a love triangle with a pet snake and a fatal bus crash send them into a tailspin.
Birth, love, death, time travel and ice-cream.
Developed with the assistance of Arena Theatre Company’s Inside 130 residency and drawing on influences as eclectic as cabaret, David Lynch and Tina Turner, Cut Snake has a highly physical style, combining music, movement and text. Strictly limited audiences will meet on the steps of the Arts House and be led somewhere extraordinary.
Devised by Julia Billington, Catherine Davies, Amelia Evans, Dan Giovannoni, Tom Hogan, Kevin Keirnan-Molloy and Paige Rattray.
Produced by Arthur
