en route is a pedestrian-based event through Melbourne’s CBD.
Setting out on foot with an ipod and mobile phone, you are guided through laneways, streets, shops, cafes. Listen to audio-snatches - musings, narratives, playlists - that intertwine with wandering, observation and (found) experiences. Engage with the spontaneous choreography of the city as streetscapes and passers-by become the site onto which your own personal cinema is projected.
When you have booked, in order to exchange starting location and other information, please text the following number: 044 77 88 448 with the word en route.
A couple of things you’ll need to bring: your mobile phone, charged (it will not be possible to do en route without it); and current photo ID and credit card (as deposit for the ipod). Don’t worry, this will be safely stored away and returned to you at the end of the route. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Limited places available, bookings essential.
