Through a fierce union of dance, stage combat and theatre, inter/nality manifests the often violent struggle for inner control that no one sees. It examines the deep-seated defence mechanisms we employ, the realities behind a stiff upper lip, and the space beyond dignity and poise in a revelatory piece that leaves you questioning accepted notions of growth and change.
The most important changes are the
ones that occur inside, unseen.
inter/nality was first conceived as a part of La Boite Theatre Company's Scratch Series and further developed through the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Art's Fresh Ground residency program.
