Less than <3 Three, Because I Heart U

Kyle, the last ever lone emo, falls in with a crowd of hipsters after his best friend becomes one. All Kyle wants to do is film his Vlogs, listen to Simple Plan and post updates on Myspace, but suddenly he has to learn to love Edith Piaf, Garden State and all things “AAhhrrrt” (especially the post modernist work of crazy ex hobo “Sebastian”). But with heartbreak, a rejected mixtape and with a media project on the line, Kyle turns to his ever faithful companion, Glen, the pink tamogochi dinosaur, and his new, but mysterious, Canadian girlfriend Zoë for inspiration and guidance.

Despite the heartache, the betrayal and all the emotions that can only truly be felt by an Emo, Kyle learns that sometimes it’s ok to just be yourself.

It opens with a DVD menu, and closes with a song. This is theatre meets cinema. A live show mixing seemlessly mixing stage and AV to look as much like an “indie” film as possible. Less Than Three is a satirical look at the cliques of the 2000s. It uses the iconic scenery of Melbourne’s Degraves st and the Flinders st Station steps as a backdrop to this tale of teenage woe. And in the style of a “Disney Channel Original” it carries the message that whoever you are don’t stop being who you want to be, no matter your motives
