What do Lance Armstrong, Jesus and Aleisha McCormack have in common? No, they weren’t all crucified for doing the wrong thing. They’re all only children.
Only children: in China, they’re ‘little emperors’. In France ‘enfant unique’. In Australia 'spoilt brats'. Aleisha knows only children get a bad wrap. In 1896 psychologist Stanley Hall said that being an only child was 'a disease in itself'. Aleisha’s here to tackle one-child policies, imaginary friends and bullshit stereotypes.
Being 'an only' has shaped her in more ways than one. She’s independent, makes friends easily and talks to herself.
The follow up to 2012 sell out Fringe show How To Get Rich.
