It's 2007 and Kevin is the hottest ticket in town. Flash forward to 2010 and overnight he is gone. What happened? A journey into crazy and chaotic events that may have led to Australia's quickest bloodless coup of the century. Come and speculate with us as we explore some possible machinations from that fateful night.
Adapted from Shakespeare's Othello and Kenneth Slessor's Five Bells, and referencing John Donne's For Whom The Bell Tolls, this play looks at the back room alliances and betrayals, and the roles of 'faceless men' in modern politics. It pokes fun at the people involved, whilst an indigenous Greek chorus shake their head in bewilderment at the chinanigans of white man in a country older than time.
