A one woman performance piece where the life and times of the infamous terrorist Ulrike Meinhof (of the Baader-Meinhof group) have been subverted and reduced to the last moment before her controversial death in Stanheim prison.
The piece charges through political ideas of freedom and sacrifice with devastating humanity. It is a song made of images utilising the rhythm of ideas and words.
Written by poet Christopher Barnett and originally presented by the Performance Group in the late 80’s, this piece continues to resonate.
Performed by Nadia Townsend
Directed by Sapidah Kian
