Future Fringe

Melbourne Fringe heads into the 21st century with great pride in our history and renewed energy to provide the broadest range of opportunities for independent artists. Despite our growth over the last twenty years we have never lost sight of the central reason we exist - to resource and support the creation and presentation of new art. We will continue to do this by initiating programs that respond to contemporary practice and the needs of artists as they emerge.

More and more international artists travel to participate in the Melbourne Fringe Festival each year. As we become increasingly an international event we are determined to hold tight to our Melburnian idiosyncracies. The Melbourne Fringe Festival is one of a kind and will continue to be so.
