Becoming A Partner
So much more than just your logo
Melbourne Fringe is the winner of the Australia Business Arts Foundation's 2009 Marsh Partnering Award for our innovative partnership with Yarra Trams.
Melbourne Fringe offers partners with unparalleled access to Melbourne’s most media savvy, educated and culturally aware young adults. And we’re committed to providing you with innovative, creative ways to communicate and engage with them. We’re experts in this audience – we deal with them every single day. We’re not suggesting we just place your logo on some posters and leave it at that. We’re thinking a specific website, online campaign or public activity that gives you access to information, email addresses and the thoughts of this highly sort after and influential group. We’ll help you find a relevant, integrated approach to connect with this sophisticated and often difficult to access community. Partnering with us gets you Melbourne and creativity – it’s a two-for-one deal.
Building capacity and growing the arts
In a city where 59% of our tourism is due to our status as the arts and culture capital of Australia, Melbourne Fringe is a vital institution in the development of our arts and creative community. The Melbourne Fringe Festival is where it all starts. Some of our most respected and internationally successful comedians, directors, actors, dancers and artists started out here and continue to present here, people like Julia Zemiro, Dave Hughes, Wil Anderson, Rachel Griffiths, Lano and Woodley and Barry Kosky. Melbourne Fringe supports artists, producers and directors all year round with technical or venue advice and support, funding advice and by providing forums and industry expertise. We’re building the creative community in Melbourne, feeding other festivals, venues, producers and agents with the best new work Melbourne has to offer.
Like a good dancer, we’re really flexible
We appreciate locking down details, and we’re ‘clear on needing clarity’, especially about the deliverables of a partnership. But we’re also open to change and development. We want our partnerships to be dynamic and exciting. At Melbourne Fringe we can work with you to develop new, engaging, dare we say experimental ways of meeting your aims. We’re happy to start small and give you a taste of the Melbourne Fringe experience but we’re also here for the long haul and ready to commit the time, energy and expertise to making this partnership the best business to arts partnership in the country. There may even be an award in it.
