Who Is Our Audience
The Melbourne Fringe Audience
|
Melbourne Fringe attracts a loyal and passionate audience of 20 – 40 year old Melburnians. Just over half are aged 20 – 29 and amongst survey respondents there is a predominance of females (however audiences are split more evenly between males and females). The majority have a degree or a post-graduate qualification, half are working full-time and a quarter are undertaking study. They mainly work or study in the arts, public service, health services, media, advertising or public relations. They live by themselves, with a partner or in a share house in Melbourne, rent rather than own and they don’t have any kids. Our audience read The Age, watch ABC and Network Ten, and listen to Triple J, RRR and PBS. They have a history of attending Melbourne Fringe and are highly likely to attend in future years, along with regularly going to other theatre shows, films and exhibitions. Along the way they will regularly eat out, go to the pub, go shopping and will travel interstate. They stay in touch via Facebook and use the internet daily. |
