The Chinese Art of Placement

Toronto's Alley Theatre Workshop Production

The Chinese Art of Placement ‘Najera attacks the piece with comic gusto’ - NOW, Toronto

‘…unhinged… darkly comic…’ - EYE, Toronto

Sparky Litman, a veteran of a half-forgotten war and an ex-writer of vengeful poetry, is ready to take on one of the world’s most ancient arts.

But there are no water features for Sparky - his Feng-Shui is an act of radical disassembly, hilarious and painful to watch.

Winner of the San Francisco Weekly's ‘Black Box’ award, Rutherford’s play was a hit in Canada and USA.

This is the first of a new collaboration between artists in Toronto, New York and Melbourne.
