Key Message Partner

The Melbourne Fringe Festival is a great place to meet new people and make new friends.

Celebrating 25 years of creating a unique and valuable platform for Victoria's independent artists, the Festival has something for everyone.

The Victorian Government is a proud sponsor of The Age's 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival because it provides Victorians, young or old, the opportunity to be part of the city's vibrant arts culture.

Our recent youth STI campaign - You never know who you'll meet. Play safe. Use a condom - is a message for everyone, regardless of age or gender. Rising rates of STIs, including HIV, are an international challenge but I am confident that campaigns like this will help raise awareness of these issues and encourage everyone to play it safe. Look out for our safe sex squads handing out free condoms and information at various events during the festival.

Enjoy the Festival and remember, with more than 200,000 people attending events throughout the city - you never know who you'll meet at the 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
