Melbourne Fringe Festival

This Festival is your invitation you to dive into Melbourne's very own celebration of a curious and brilliant independent arts scene. An artist participating in The Age 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival is staking their claim in Melbourne's artistic landscape, creating some airspace in which to shout or whisper their most crucial thoughts, ideas and visions for the universe.

Each September we become that thriving mass of people, lifting the lid on Melbourne's artists' ideas, sifting through the jokes, stories and passions that have recently consumed them. Together, we form the process through which Melbourne, and its people, create art.

On behalf of all the Fringe staff, we express huge and heartfelt thanks to the artists, crews, volunteers, and sponsors who make Melbourne Fringe such a party every year.
