Fringe Furniture 2008 - MAKE YOUR MARK
In 2008 Fringe Furniture explores how we personalise and make our own mark on the objects and furnishings we use in our daily lives. The theme asks artists, designers, viewers and users of furniture or object design – what is your mark? Now in it’s 24th year, Fringe Furniture is an intrinsic part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival and draws a range of entries from established artists and designers as well students and emerging designers.
There are more than 80 works on display including furniture, homewares, lighting, indoor and outdoor works.
Forum: Is showing telling? IP for product designers
As part of Fringe Furniture we are also running a forum about the intellectual property issues facing furniture and product designers. Focusing on both emerging and established designers, this seminar will look at what practising designers do (or don't do) to protect their designs – and what can be done from a legal perspective.
