All seems dark and quiet at the bottom of the sea but something is always going on. Come and explore an underwater landscape created from recycled plastic, in this interactive installation in the ArtPlay gallery.
There are surprising creatures all around and the strange sounds of the ocean floor. Much of the ocean remains a mystery. Less than 10% of the deep ocean has been explored. In fact, we know more about the surface of Mars than the depths of our own planet. More people have been to the moon than the bottom of the ocean. And yet it is where over 95% of all living species make their home. Which makes it a really exciting place to let our imaginations run free. You will be invited to move around and explore the space. You can touch things, but remember (as with all things in nature) it’s important to be gentle. There are creatures hiding all around. And there are places to just lie back on the ocean floor and watch the water go by.
