Presented by Arts Centre Melbourne in association with Melbourne Fringe.
Throughout 2017, a group of eight artists have been in residence at Arts Centre Melbourne, working in situ to bring you a brand new work made especially for Melbourne Fringe – performance installation Discordia.
The Discordiants – James Andrews, Gabi Barton, Holly Durant, Benjamin Hancock, Simone Page Jones, Hannah Fox and Will & Garrett Huxley – will inhabit and transform familiar spaces and invert their purpose, on purpose.
Discordia is the recipient of the inaugural Take Over! commission, an Arts Centre Melbourne and Melbourne Fringe initiative inviting and supporting leading independent artists to develop and present an innovative new performance work for the Festival.
Discordia was developed with the assistance of Arts Centre Melbourne in association with Melbourne Fringe and supported by the Australia Council for the Arts. This project has been generously supported by Monica Lim and Konfir Kabo, and Lorraine and John Bates.
