A cosy, feel-good, low-sensory wonderland celebrating queer art and community.

hygge
/ˈh(j)uːɡə,ˈhʊɡə/
a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.

Hygge is a space for people to experience Club Fringe at all new levels of warm and fuzzy.

Think gentle lighting, gentle furnishings and gentle energies.

Featuring performances by Eora-based heartthrob Brendan Maclean, burlesque superstar Juniper Fox, Arrernte drag icon Stone Motherless Cold and spoken word by Naarm-based wordsmith Bo Bickmore. Wiradjuri choreographer and dancer Joel Bray will lead the throng in an interactive movement piece developed specifically for this low-sensory wonderland.

Come as you are and be who you are. Share a warm fuzzy with the world, the event or with someone you met on the dance floor on the Hygge Community Notice Board.

Take a seat on the cushioned floor and share a creative space with others in a life drawing class from artist and photographer Matto Lucas.

Sashay and sway on our safe, silly and euphoric dance floor featuring some of Naarm's finest vibe creators and track selectors including Edd Fisher (Waxo'Paridso), girlwhatever and Esmeralda (Punch Bowl Disco).

Those who wish to wear a mask are encouraged to do so.
