Experience dance: visceral sensations, body, sound & nervous system connections.

Lily and Hunter's work Wavefront Warfare explores the intersection of somatic practices, emotional healing, and the nervous system, with a focus on how the parasympathetic (rest & digest) and sympathetic systems (fight, flight, freeze, fawn & flop) impact overall well-being. Through movement, sound meditation, and instrumentation, they create immersive, meditative environments that invite both performers and audiences to confront discomfort, inviting emotional release and transformation.

Their practice is grounded in the exploration of how the body holds emotional imprints and how somatic methods can support healing on a physiological level. By embracing vulnerability and discomfort, they engage with suppressed emotions and trauma, offering a holistic approach that connects body and mind. Sound—such as sound baths, chimes, and textured instrumentation—paired with guided breath work helps guide individuals into deeper states of awareness, encouraging the release of stored tension and emotional energy.

Inspired by sound bath sessions with musician Jayden McGrath, they have developed practices that involve intentionally entering controlled states of discomfort through sound, breath, and stillness. These sessions have triggered profound emotional responses—from stress and pain to laughter, joy, and deep relaxation. These personal experiences directly inform their movement work, which is shaped by emotional states and nervous system responses. They explore how the body expresses the extremes of stress and surrender, weaving together intense physicality with moments of stillness and reflection.

Lily and Hunter are committed to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for their audiences. While the audience remains seated, they're not passive observers; they're participants in a shared emotional and sensory journey, invited to process, release, and connect.
