Big ideas, new music, and a lively chat on reshaping the 'Australian story'

Vidya Makan and Sonya Suares (The Lucky Country) join Sammy J (Fiasco: A Burke and Wills Musical) to share their creative process, discussing how they approach storytelling, blend humour and commentary, and bring fresh perspectives to Australian narratives through new musical theatre.

Hosted by Rod Davies from the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance, the conversation explores how these artists use original songs to reframe history and identity while connecting audiences to culture, place, and the questions of who we are today.
