Following a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe show, acclaimed Scottish novelist Alastair Sim and award-winning Scottish pianist Matthew Shiel recreate a Burns Night supper with a community sing-along including Loch Lomond, Skye Boat Song and Auld Lang Syne. Kilts, sporrans and a dramatic reciting of Rabbie Burns’ great Tam O'Shanter meet Scottish folk music and masterpieces inspired by the beauty of Scotland, including favourite strathspeys and reels, Farewell to Stromness and a special musical arrangement of Burns' epic ghost story Tam O’Shanter – by candlelight.

Matthew Shiel is an award-winning concert British pianist, Usher Hall and Live Music Now Scotland emerging artist who has performed at Usher Hall, The National Portrait Gallery of Scotland, St Gile's Cathedral, Glasgow City Halls (Scotland) and The Glasshouse International Centre for Music (England).
