A party celebrating the divas of then and now with some of Melbourne's best drag artists.

It’s 1998 and VH1 assembled 5 of the most legendary women in music to perform one unforgettable concert.

On October 18 with Melbourne Fringe, Popchops are celebrating the divas and the performers of today that they have inspired - hour by hour, genre by genre. Picture Latin pop at 10pm, powerhouse belters at 11pm, soul-shaking jams at midnight, tracks with the most challenging high notes at 1am before toe tappin' to country pop tunes at 2am.

We will be joined by some of Melbourne’s best drag artists for a night of euphoric dancing, partying and sing-a-longs.

From the team that brought you ’Timebombs’ (2024 Club Fringe), Popchops is a multiple MEDEAs nominated night for queers, queens, trans legends, lesbians, non-binary babes, allies and anyone in our LGBTQIA+ rainbow who is up for taking chances.

Like pop music itself, Popchops is an escape from reality – a night to turn the beat around, show a little respect and shake it off.
