The Queen Victoria Women's Centre's vision is that all women and gender diverse people have a place where they are welcomed, valued and celebrated and have the power to determine their present and future. Our purpose is to hold and create space for Victorian women and gender diverse people to thrive.
Our annual program of talks, workshops and events brings women and gender diverse people together for fun, for information and participation. We also partner with major festivals and organisations of all sizes to host events at the Centre throughout the year. Alongside our resident organisations, we also hire out four special venues, including our rooftop! We'd love to help you make the Centre you're own!
Getting there: Nearby any of the Melbourne Central Station / State Library trams. 200, 207, 250, 251, 302, 303, 304, 305, 309, 318, 350, 905, 906, 907, 908 buses.
A small number of curbside City of Melbourne parks are located in front of QVWC on Lonsdale St, with a larger volume of curbside and central parks found on Russell St proximate to Artemis Lane.
Long term parking is located underneath Queen Victoria Women’s Centre in the Wilson’s Car Park. Access is via Lonsdale, Russel or Little Lonsdale St. $20 all day with >$1 purchase from a selection of QV stores, or $15 weekend flat rate.

The venue is wheelchair accessible and there is an accessible toilet available.
If you need step-free access, you can use ramp on the left-hand-side of building (Shilling Lane) which will take you to the rear entrance of the venue via QV courtyard. Alternatively, you can enter from Russell St and Artemis Lane or from QV shopping centre carpark. From QV carpark, there is a lift to the ground level QV Square lawn area (noted Level 2), then a lift down the stairs (near QVWC SHOP) to the rear entrance of the venue.
Service animals are welcome inside the venue.
There is short term parking (15 mins) available at the Lonsdale St entrance of the venue. There is longer on-street parking on Lonsdale Street and on Russell St and Artemis Lane. There is available accessible parking near Russell St and Artemis Lane.
